This great, no cost app features in-app purchases but serves as a great replacement to your built-in camera app, allowing you to customize the look of your photos with filters, cropping tools, textures and frames. It also makes sharing to SmugMug, Twitter, Tumblr, Flickr, Picasa, Photobucket, Email and Instagram a cinch.The only thing it lacks is the ability to add text to a photo.

A great app that allows you to apply filters WHILE you're taking the photo, which is incredible! You can see what it will look like with the effect applied.

    5. Google NIK Collection (Free) - High-end image editor plug-ins for Adobe Photoshop (required), Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for both Mac and Windows.
    6. IrfanView (Free) – A simple editor that allows you to resize images. Windows only.
    7. The Graphics Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) (Free) – A cross platform “Photoshop” like tool. Can be complicated for newbies.

    • iCloud Photo – This provides unaltered storage of your photos in the cloud but can be expensive.
    • Microsoft OneDrive – Although not designed for photos, it is fairly easy to save photos to it.
    • ShutterFly – Another location that offers a wide variety of services, such as photo books, cards, and gifts.
